Here at Karens School of Motoring We understand that the driving test has become more challenging and the pressure to drive has increased.  Driving test changes now demand a higher standard to pass, which is why our instructors are always here to help you to drive consistently well with confidence.

When you pass your practical driving test in a manual car you have the freedom to use either a manual or automatic car in the future, which may be useful when hiring a vehicle both home or abroad.

Although the thought of a third pedal (clutch), and a gear lever can initially seem quite daunting, they can be mastered relatively quickly, with a small amount of tuition and a bit of practise.  Most pupils will be able to use the clutch and get the vehicle moving within the first lesson! Also there is something rewarding about completing a well-timed smooth gear change.

Our Driving instructors are highly qualified local men and women and experts in the field of intensive driver training so will give you all the help and support needed to get you through your test first time.  The instructors recognise learning to drive can be stressful so are patient reliable and understanding.

We allocate an instructor and car for your entire course and together you can arrange to meet at a desired location.  All our vehicles are modern and fitted with dual controls for your safety, and all have comprehensive driving school insurance.  Although there are no guarantees, we aim to teach you to drive to a high standard and help you to pass your test first time.

Our ethos is to create safe and confident drivers and because of this, your instructor may decide that you will need more lessons before you take your test or will need to postpone your test to meet the required standard.
