M eet Steve, a local driving instructor working with Karens Driving School Basildon

Steve Lockett has been a driving instructor for seven years in the Basildon area and has worked with Karen's Driving school for five years, having previously worked for BSM.

During this time Steve has taught a wide variety of people to drive from complete beginners to students who had previously driven, pupils with a foreign licence and those who had unfortunately lost their licence. 

Steve likes to specialise in helping people who have previously failed a driving test to succeed at their next attempt.

Steve routinely sits in with his pupils on their driving test to assess the standards required and to understand why people sometimes fail.  This knowledge and understanding is then passed on to his future pupils.

Steve is also the mock practical test instructor for the Basildon test centre helping the pupils of his fellow Karen's instructors better prepare to pass their driving test.

On the rare occasions that Steve is not working he indulges his keen interests in music, history and literature and is currently learing to play the Ukulele.
