Karens School of Motoring welcomed the Honest Truth Partnership

P art of learning to drive is becoming more independent and a time to start thinking about ways to keep safe on the road, now and after passing the driving test.

This morning, Karen's School of Motoring welcomed the Honest Truth Partnership and in particular the Essex Police and Essex Road Safety team who delivered a presentation to our driving instructors.

The partnership are working to help reduce anti social driving and the number of 17-24 year olds killed or seriously injured on our roads by getting messages to young drivers through Approved Driving Instructors.

Four main areas were targeted, in particular, Speed, Drink, Drugs, Mobile Phones, Showing Off, Tiredness, Distractions, and Seatbelts.  "The Honest Truth" used information, statistics and real stories to show you how small changes save lives and it was stressed that "even small changes can save lives".

The instructors were invited to offer their input regarding how they encourage understanding and promote these areas during pupil's course of learning to drive.

The Honest Truth Partnership including Karen's, are working together to reduce anti-social driving and the number of young people killed or seriously injured on the roads.
