T he majority of people taking a driving test, are not successful, as the pass rate is typically only 43%.  This varies regionally for each individual test centre

For first time candidates, it's even lower.  To help you avoid the most common errors, here is a list of the top 10 reasons why people fail a driving test.

At junctions and in one way streets

10.  Inappropriate speed
Travelling too slowly or being hesitant

When learning to drive it's natural for errors to happen that's just part of the learning process.

However, by the time a candidate takes a driving test, they should be driving with confidence and without help of the driving instructor.
