70mph outside Corringham school

M OTORISTS were fined and issued warnings for speeding outside a school which has been plagued by nuisance drivers.

Police were out in force in Southend Road, Corringham, Essex which has a 30mph speed limit, but has had problems with drivers tearing down the road at more than 70mph.

During the day of action, police stopped 25 motorists for speeding and gave them warnings, while a further three were handed £60 fixed penalty notices.
